Our Rope Fibres
Testing & Type Approval
Southern Ropes operates a fully accredited testing programme built on ISO 2307, ISO 9554 and ISO 18264 standards. All break load, splice and tests are performed on our state of art 300-ton calibrated test bed, with full traceability from raw fibre to finished product.We are currently working with Bureau Veritas towards Mode 2 Type Approval for:
- D-Lite HMPE soft shackles Lifting Certification
- Heavy lifting and industrial HMPE assemblies certification
In parallel, our HMPE mooring lines are being developed to meet OCIMF MEG4 requirements for strength, fatigue performance and long-term durability.
